These Community Guidelines apply to students, parents, tutors, profiles, reviews, ratings, photos, and other content or interactions on Your Tutor Here.

1. Be Respectful

Students, parents, and tutors should treat one another respectfully.

We do not allow:

• Bullying
• Abusive behaviour
• Hate speech
• Discriminatory content
• Sexually inappropriate content or behaviour
• Intimidation
• Deliberate personal attacks

Disagreements should be handled respectfully and professionally.

2. Provide Genuine Information

Tutors must not provide false or misleading information about:

• Identity
• Qualifications
• Teaching experience
• Subjects taught
• Classes taught
• Education boards
• Location
• Teaching methods
• Availability
• Tuition services
• Other profile details

Providing fake qualifications, impersonating another person, or intentionally misleading students or parents may result in immediate action against the account.

3. One Genuine Tutor, One Profile

Tutors must not create multiple profiles or accounts for themselves to:

• Gain additional visibility
• Manipulate search results
• Avoid restrictions
• Circumvent account suspension
• Obtain additional promotional benefits
• Mislead students

Duplicate or deceptive tutor profiles may be removed.

4. Keep Tutor Profiles Relevant

Tutor profiles are intended to promote the tutor’s own tuition and educational services.

Profiles should not be used primarily to advertise:

• Unrelated businesses
• Third-party products
• Affiliate offers
• Unrelated services
• Other tutoring marketplaces
• Spam
• Unauthorized advertisements

Profile information should remain relevant to the tutor’s genuine tuition services.

5. Contact Information & Privacy

Tutor contact information is not publicly displayed on tutor listing pages. After a tutor responds to a student’s tuition request, tutors and students or parents may choose to exchange contact details directly.

Tutors should use the designated platform functionality for connecting with students.

After the relevant connection or request process, tutors and students or parents may choose to exchange contact details directly.

Once contact information has been exchanged, users are responsible for how they communicate and what additional information they choose to share.

Users must never misuse another person’s contact information for spam, harassment, unauthorized marketing, or unrelated purposes.

6. Profile Photos & Gallery Content

Photos and other content uploaded to tutor profiles should be genuine, appropriate, and relevant.

Users must not upload:

• Inappropriate or explicit images
• Misleading photographs
• Stolen images
• Images they do not have permission to use
• Unrelated advertisements
• Spam
• Offensive content
• Illegal content
• Content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights

Your Tutor Here may remove content that violates these guidelines.

7. Reviews & Ratings

Logged-in students and parents may submit ratings and reviews about tutors.

Tutors cannot rate or review students.

Reviews should be:

• Genuine
• Based on an actual experience
• Relevant to the tutor or tuition experience
• Respectful
• Fair and informative

Reviews should help other students and parents make informed decisions.

8. No Fake Reviews or Rating Manipulation

Fake reviews and rating manipulation are prohibited.

Tutors must not:

• Create fake student accounts to review themselves
• Submit reviews about themselves
• Ask people who have not genuinely interacted with them to submit fake reviews
• Purchase reviews
• Offer incentives specifically in exchange for misleading positive reviews
• Coordinate fake ratings
• Attempt to artificially damage another tutor’s rating

Students and parents must also not submit intentionally false reviews.

Accounts involved in review manipulation may be restricted or removed.

9. No Spam or Misleading Promotion

Users must not use Your Tutor Here to:

• Send repetitive unsolicited messages
• Promote unrelated products or services
• Post deceptive advertisements
• Distribute suspicious links
• Conduct unauthorized marketing
• Collect user information for unrelated commercial purposes
• Mislead users about offers or services

Tutor profiles should accurately represent the tuition services actually being offered.

10. Protect Other Users’ Privacy

Do not publish another person’s private information without appropriate permission.

This includes:

• Phone numbers
• Email addresses
• Home addresses
• Identity documents
• Private conversations
• Financial information
• Personal photographs
• Other confidential information

Reviews and profile content should not expose unnecessary personal information about another user.

11. Appropriate Communication

Communication between students, parents, and tutors should remain appropriate and related to legitimate tuition arrangements.

Users must not use the platform or information obtained through it for:

• Harassment
• Threats
• Fraud
• Unwanted solicitation
• Inappropriate communication
• Illegal activity
• Data harvesting
• Impersonation
• Other harmful purposes

12. Protecting Minor Students

Extra care must be taken when communicating or interacting with students under 18.

Tutors should maintain appropriate professional boundaries and communicate in a manner suitable for an educational relationship.

Parents or guardians should remain aware of tuition arrangements involving minors.

Any inappropriate behaviour involving a minor may result in immediate account action and may be reported to relevant authorities where required or appropriate under applicable law.

13. No Fraud or Platform Manipulation

Users must not attempt to misuse or manipulate Your Tutor Here.

This includes:

• Fake accounts
• Fake tutor profiles
• Fake qualifications
• Fraudulent payments
• Coupon abuse
• Review manipulation
• Impersonation
• Attempts to bypass account restrictions
• Attempts to interfere with platform security
• Unauthorized collection of user information

Serious misuse may result in immediate suspension or permanent account removal.

14. Content Moderation

Your Tutor Here may review, moderate, restrict, hide, or remove content that violates these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions, applicable law, or platform standards.

This may include:

• Tutor profiles
• Profile descriptions
• Photos
• Gallery content
• Reviews
• Ratings
• Other user-generated content

Content moderation decisions may be made to protect users, maintain platform quality, prevent misuse, or comply with legal requirements.

15. Account Suspension & Removal

Your Tutor Here may take action against accounts that violate these guidelines.

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the violation, action may include:

• Content removal
• Profile restrictions
• Temporary suspension
• Profile removal
• Permanent account termination

For serious violations, Your Tutor Here may suspend or remove an account immediately without providing a prior warning, subject to applicable requirements.

16. Reporting Violations

If you see a tutor profile, review, photo, or other content that appears to violate these Community Guidelines, please use the available Report feature.
