Parents, guardians, and tutors are expected to use their own judgment, act responsibly, and follow applicable laws.

1. Parents and Guardians Should Create and Manage Accounts

Parents and legal guardians can create and manage accounts on Your Tutor Here when looking for tutors for their children.

Students and minors are not encouraged to create independent accounts or arrange tuition on their own through the platform.

Parents and guardians should remain involved in decisions relating to tutor selection, communication, meetings, and tuition arrangements.

2. Review Tutor Profiles Carefully

Before choosing a tutor, parents and guardians should carefully review the information available on the tutor’s profile.

This may include:

• Qualifications
• Teaching experience
• Subjects and classes taught
• Location
• Availability
• Teaching method
• Reviews and ratings
• Profile photographs
• Other information provided by the tutor

A tutor being listed on Your Tutor Here does not automatically mean that the tutor’s identity, qualifications, experience, or background have been verified by us.

Parents and guardians should independently verify important information before engaging a tutor.

3. Understand the Verification Badge

Not every tutor on Your Tutor Here is automatically verified.

A tutor may use the platform without completing the verification process. Tutors who complete the applicable identity verification process may receive a Verification Badge.

The Verification Badge indicates that the tutor has completed the applicable identity verification process.

It does not mean that Your Tutor Here guarantees the tutor’s teaching quality, qualifications, experience, background, character, conduct, or suitability for a particular child.

Parents and guardians should continue to use their own judgment even when a tutor has a Verification Badge.

4. Communicate Responsibly

Parents, guardians, tutors, and other users should communicate respectfully and professionally.

Avoid sharing unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

Do not share:

• Passwords
• OTPs
• UPI PINs
• Card PINs
• Banking credentials
• Unnecessary identity documents
• Private photographs or videos
• Other confidential information

Parents and guardians should pay particular attention to communications involving their children.

5. Keep Parents or Guardians Involved

Parents and guardians should know:

• Which tutor their child is interacting with
• How and where tuition will take place
• When tuition will take place
• How the tutor communicates with the child
• What arrangements have been agreed upon

Children should be encouraged to speak to a parent, guardian, or another trusted adult if anything makes them uncomfortable.

6. Avoid Secret or Inappropriate Communication

Tutors must maintain appropriate professional boundaries with children.

Tutors should not:

• Encourage a child to hide conversations from parents or guardians
• Request inappropriate photographs or videos
• Ask for unnecessary personal information
• Use threatening, abusive, sexual, or inappropriate language
• Attempt to create an inappropriate personal relationship with a child
• Arrange private meetings with a child without appropriate parental involvement
• Pressure a child to keep tuition-related matters secret

Parents and guardians should take concerns of this nature seriously and act promptly.

7. Home Tuition Safety

Parents or guardians who choose home tuition should take reasonable precautions before allowing a tutor to visit their home or meet their child.

We recommend:

9. Be Careful With Payments and Fraud

Never share:

• OTPs
• UPI PINs
• Card PINs
• Banking passwords
• Account passwords

Be cautious if someone:

• Requests an unusual or urgent payment
• Sends suspicious links or files
• Claims to represent Your Tutor Here and requests sensitive information
• Requests payment through an unusual method
• Pressures you to make a quick decision
• Provides information that appears false or misleading

Parents and guardians and tutors are responsible for reviewing and confirming private payment arrangements between themselves.

10. Be Careful About Off-Platform Communication

Your Tutor Here may help users discover and connect with one another, but users may choose to communicate outside the platform.

When moving communication or arrangements outside Your Tutor Here, users should continue to take appropriate safety precautions.

Your Tutor Here cannot control private conversations, meetings, payments, or activities that take place outside the platform.

Parents and guardians should use particular caution when any off-platform communication involves their children.

11. Tutors Must Act Professionally

Tutors using Your Tutor Here are expected to:

• Provide truthful profile information
• Maintain professional conduct
• Respect parents, guardians, and children
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
• Respect privacy
• Avoid harassment, discrimination, abuse, and inappropriate behaviour
• Follow applicable laws
• Use the platform only for legitimate tutoring-related purposes

A tutor may be subject to account or profile action if they violate these expectations, our Terms & Conditions, Safety Guidelines, Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

12. Parents and Guardians Are Responsible for Tutor Selection

Your Tutor Here provides tools to help parents and guardians discover tutors.

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

• Reviewing tutor profiles
• Checking important information where appropriate
• Deciding whether a tutor is suitable
• Agreeing on tuition terms
• Taking reasonable precautions
• Remaining appropriately involved in their child’s tuition

A listing, rating, review, or Verification Badge should not replace the parent’s or guardian’s own judgment.

13. Tutors Are Responsible for Their Services and Conduct

Tutors are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information they provide
• The tuition services they offer
• Their professional behaviour
• Their communications
• Their interactions with parents, guardians, and children
• Their compliance with applicable laws

Your Tutor Here does not control the day-to-day delivery of tuition services by individual tutors.

14. Your Tutor Here’s Role

Your Tutor Here is a platform for discovering and connecting with tutors.

We do not directly provide the tutoring service arranged between a parent or guardian and a tutor.

We do not guarantee:

• That a tutor will be suitable for a particular child
• That a tutor will provide a particular level of teaching quality
• The accuracy of every user-provided profile detail
• The conduct of a user outside the platform
• The outcome of a private tuition arrangement
• The safety of private meetings or arrangements made independently by users

Parents and guardians and tutors are responsible for their own decisions, interactions, arrangements, and conduct, subject to applicable law.

15. Report Suspicious or Unsafe Behaviour

Please report concerns involving:

• Fake or misleading profiles
• Fraud or scams
• Harassment
• Threatening behaviour
• Inappropriate communication
• Requests for inappropriate content
• Suspicious payment requests
• Misuse of personal information
• Behaviour that may put a child at risk
• Other violations of our platform policies

When reporting a concern, provide relevant details where possible, such as messages, screenshots, profile information, or transaction records.

We may review reports and take appropriate action in accordance with our policies and applicable law.

16. Serious or Immediate Safety Concerns

If you believe a child or another person is in immediate danger, please contact the appropriate emergency services or law-enforcement authorities immediately.

Your Tutor Here is a platform for connecting parents, guardians, and tutors and is not a substitute for emergency, medical, child-protection, or law-enforcement services.

For concerns relating to a user or tutor on our platform, you may also report the matter to us through our available support or contact channels.

17. Account and Platform Misuse

Users must not use Your Tutor Here to:

• Create fake accounts
• Impersonate another person
• Provide false information
• Scam or defraud another user
• Harass or threaten others
• Exploit or endanger children
• Share unlawful or inappropriate content
• Distribute malicious links or files
• Attempt to access another person’s account
• Misuse another person’s personal information
• Circumvent platform security or restrictions

We may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts or profiles that violate our rules or create safety concerns.

18. If You Are Unsure, Pause and Verify

If something feels suspicious or uncomfortable, do not feel pressured to continue.

Pause the interaction, verify the information independently, involve a parent or guardian where appropriate, and report the concern when necessary.

Safety should always come before convenience.

19. Important Responsibility Notice

Parents and guardians are responsible for evaluating and selecting tutors and for taking reasonable precautions in relation to their children’s tuition arrangements.

Tutors are responsible for the accuracy of their information, the tuition services they provide, and their conduct and interactions with parents, guardians, and children.

Any private tuition arrangement, meeting, communication, payment, or other activity between users is undertaken by those users based on their own decisions and responsibilities, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Safety Guidelines is intended to exclude or limit any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
